ANTIQUE JAMAWAR "HANDWOVEN JEWELS" OF KASHMIR
From the earliest times to the present, shawls have been part of the great tradition of Indian textile. Antique Kashmir shawls were famed throughout the world as the luxurious merchandise of kings and emperors. The fame of the Kashmiri shawl sprung from the type known as kani, or twill-tapestry weaving.

The superb skill of creating Kani shawls by hand is extinct now though the attempts are being made to revive those skills in Kanihama near Srinagar, it is certain that the technical excellence of former times and the fineness of those shawls can never be replicated.

Received depth knowledge from warp to weft of these shawls from our ancestors through the generations, we expertise in Repair, Restoration and Customization of Antique Kashmir shawls and revive the lost heritage.
